The paper deals with adhesion of alkali silicates coatings. Sodium, potassium and lithium water glass were study. Characterization of water glass was performed by optical emission spectrometry and acidimetric titration. Adhesion test and cross-cut test were realized on metal and glass surface. The dependence between adhesion and silicate modulus for sodium water glass was confirmed. Lithium water glass formed films with difficulties.
